Averian Labs is a venture studio. That word gets used loosely, so here is what we mean by it: we build and operate more than one software company, and they all run on the same internal operating system — Orbit. What one product learns does not stay locked inside that product. It becomes a capability the next one starts with.
That is the whole idea, and it is the reason this log exists.
What we're building right now
Two companies are live in pilot today.
First Year Credit helps people establish credit in the United States — newcomers, international students, young adults, and anyone building credit for the first time. It turns a system most people find opaque into a personalized, step-by-step path.
Laudvi is reputation operations for local businesses, starting with home-service companies: HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, roofing, flooring, electrical, and landscaping. Most tools in this space hand the owner another dashboard to watch. Laudvi does the reputation work instead.
Different customers, different problems. What connects them is Orbit.
Why a studio, and not just one product
Most teams rebuild the same machinery for every company they start — the content system, the growth measurement, the workflows, the decision-making scaffolding. We would rather build those capabilities once, prove them against a real product, and carry them forward.
So a growth pattern that works for First Year Credit becomes something Laudvi can reach for. An operator workflow proven inside Laudvi becomes a template the next venture starts with. Each company is its own business with its own customers — but the studio gets smarter with every one of them.
Orbit is where that compounding happens: structured workflows, reusable capabilities, and the institutional memory that ties a decision to the outcome it produced. AI helps where it genuinely helps — retrieval, drafts, recommendations, pattern-matching across ventures — but the strategy and the decisions that matter stay with us.
What this log is for
We publish selected decisions, milestones, and lessons as we go. Not progress theater, and not revenue as entertainment — a useful record of what we tried, what we learned, and what changed our minds. Writing it down is part of how Orbit works: the discipline that makes the log worth reading is the same discipline that makes the products better.
